Dipa Karmakar become first Indian women gymnast qualify for Olympic as she gives a strong performance at the Rio games and she booked her place their. She made 52.698 points at the game and then selected for the Rio games that will held in August.
She is the first Indian gymnast to select for Olympic not only this but she is also the first Indian who qualify for the quadrennial extravaganza after 52 long years. Only 11 Indian male gymnast take part in Olympic since the independence.
Dipa belongs from Tripura state. Dipa had also won a medal in commonwealth games 2014 in Glasgow. Now everyone is waiting for the lists of gymnasts that will be published by world body. And everyone is waiting to see her name in it.
Deepak Kagra is an international referee and he said that after watching Dipa’s performance they all know that they would qualify for Rio Olympics. She was unlucky to berth in Olympics last time in November as she was at 5th position as she finished outside the stadium.
