National Investigation Agency Officer Tanzil who was investigating Pathankot terror attack shot dead in UP’s Bijnor. The attacker is unidentified till now.
The incident happens on Sunday when NIA inspector was returning from a wedding in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district, police said on Sunday.
Tanzil Ahmad who was deputy supritendent of police and was returning after attending the wedding function with her wife on late Saturday night. Suddenly, the attackers who were on motor bikes shot the couple from close range near Sahaspur town.
Farzana is admitted at a hospital in Noida.
NIA officials from Lucknow has rushed to the spot to further probe the incident.
According to the sources, said that he was allegedly shot 21 times, and his wife has uninterrupted four bullets while the childrens were unhurt.
While Tanzil was declared dead on arrival at a medical facility in Moradabad, his wife Farzana is critical and battling for her life, a senior official said.
