The 20-year old girl trio named, Blessing Gundu, Rebecca Frisch and Rojeen Imanzadeh went out on a trip on 23rd June 2021 to Nikki Beach. However, neither one of them would have thought that during their first day on the trip, they will become the victim of racism and be treated as an outsider over a small issue. The girls claimed that they were intentionally attacked by a couple over a sunbed and was later badly mistreated by the club’s staff. One of the girls, Blessing narrated the whole incident that happened on 23rd June in the Nikki Beach Club and also said that told how Rojeen got attacked and suffered major injuries because of that.
Blessing told that she and her other two friends were in Nikki Beach all day and paid for another bed, enjoying their trip, until one of her friends, went and sat on the other side of the pool so that she can get suntanned. Later, the other two girls joined her, however, Blessing told that maybe one of her hand was resting on the bed of the couple who attacked her friend. The girl asked her to remove it, which she did and technically it should be the end of the conversation.
Well, it was not the case though, cause the couple then addressed one of the staff of the club and asked him to move us all elsewhere. Blessing, however, stated that the pool was in fact for the public and not to mention, they paid for it. Blessing and her other two friends got confused and asked questioned as to why they should be removed from a reserved to a non-reserved area. However, the partner of the female told them to shut their mouths in not so sophisticated way.
Blessings then, told that she and her other two friends did not want to create a scene and therefore, they decided to move out, however, just when they stood up, the couple started shouting at them and then, the female one tossed a pillow at her. However, since Blessings was quick enough, she quickly caught the pillow and tossed it back to her.
However, when the girl’s boyfriend saw this, he grabbed a drink in his hand and tossed it at Rojeen. Blessing stated that Rojeen wanted to throw the drink at him, and so just when she was about to do that, the male one grabbed an empty bottle of Moet champagne and hit it on the head of Rojeen.
There they saw Rojeen covered in blood, all over her face and an open wound on her head. However, the most shocking part of all was that the staff allowed the couple to got out and although everyone witnessed what exactly happened, including the hotel staff and other people who were came there to enjoy, no one stood for them.
In fact, when Blessing said that Nikki Beach’s manager stopped her when she approached the couple who were trying to leave from the reserved pool area and on the other hand, threatened her and her friends to not create a scene otherwise he will call the police. Blessing accused the manager of mishandling her and despite calling the ambulance, he warned them not to recorded the footage or capture the pictures of the injuries of Rojeen, until they were completely cleaned.
However, despite the warning, the trio still managed to take pictures of Rojeen’s injuries and also took the photos of the couple who hit the head of Rojeen with Champagne. Later, the trio filed a complaint again the couple, who has been arrested by the police. Also, the spokesperson of Nikki beach has also apologized to the girls on the behalf of the staff and has assured them that they will not tolerate such violence or discrimination on the basis of caste, gender and colour.
