A very shocking and serious accident happened on northbound Highway 427 approaching the 401 where a truck carrying diesel rolled over on the mid-noon of Tuesday which caused fuel to leak onto the roadway.

The accident happened on Highway 427 approaching the ramp to the westbound 401 and the OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt posted a video online of the crash scene which showed diesel flowing out of the tanker truck. In addition to this, he stated that they currently have all lanes blocked and all traffic 427 northbound is going to get forced off and will be forced to 401 eastbound by which there is no access to the westbound lanes. The crew members and the accident responders were working to prevent the leak and the rest of the diesel was transferred to another vehicle very soon.

The video is posted on the Twitter handle at around 3:45 PM where Schmidt stated that fuel was still leaking and pump trucks were working to collect the fuel it also shows dams placed at the scene in a bid to contain the diesel. The crews were anticipating for equipment to get on the spot that would allow them to drill a hole in the top of the fuel tanker and offload the rest of the diesel into a replacement truck and there is no word on what caused the collision.
