A tragic traffic accident took place in the Bayreuther Straße in Forchheim town in northern Bavaria in Germany on 31st July 2021, Sunday, where it has been reported that an 84-year-old woman lost her dear life. As per the police officials, the lady name unknown was trying to cross the roadway on Bayreuther Str. when a tractor unit without a container, came out of nowhere and struck the woman in the middle of the road. Meanwhile, as per the initial reports, a 61-year old man was driving the truck, however, it is still not clear whether he was driving the truck at a faster speed or there was something more to it.
Moreover, if reports are to be believed, the roadway on Bayreuther Straße where the accident took place is narrowed as there is a site between Heinrich-Soldan-Straße and Berliner Straße, which is undergoing construction. Thus, it can be concluded that the less space between the road could possibly be a reason why the accident occurred in the first place. The woman who was hit by the truck unit was immediately taken to the nearby hospital for first aid by the rescue service team.
The team of doctors tried to heal the wounds of the old lady, however, because of her old age, she could not respond to the treatment and passed away. Thus, the 84-year old lady left her immortal body at the spot of a tragic accident. Meanwhile, the police officials have closed the construction site area, where the accident occurred and has also ordered an investigation on the same so that they could get a clear cause of the accident. The Bayreuther Straße has been closed by the police for the time being from both directions and in addition to that, the bridge over the railway line at the starting was also closed from the east side.
Furthermore, due to the construction work, the Bayreuther Straße bridge above the railway serves as a narrow section of junction that hinders the traffic flow, as the Piast Bridge is no longer open, meanwhile, the Gosberg passage has also been blocked because of the same reason since 2nd August 2021. The accident has certainly collapsed the traffic flow in the Forchheim town, causing the heavy traffic jams. Forchheim city Press spokeswoman, Britta Kurth stated that from the very starting it was pretty much clear that such problems could arise. Talking about the traffic jam in Forchheim, she further stated that we are extremely sorry, but, that’s the way it is now, moreover, they cannot comprise public safety.
