Airtel Thanks: Prepaid users now get free Amazon Prime membership with special Rs 299 plan

Airtel, last year, joined hands with Amazon India to offer one year of Amazon Prime membership to its postpaid users. And now, over a year later Airtel is extending the same benefits to its prepaid users. Bharti Airtel, as a part of its Airtel Thanks program, is offering its prepaid users one month of Amazon Prime membership for free.

Airtel’s Rs 299 prepaid plan offers 2.5GB data per day, Amazon Prime free

Airtel on Wednesday revamped its flagship customer programme ‘Airtel Thanks’ with new offers and plans. My Airtel app has also been renamed to “Airtel Thanks” with a new UI, content and more.

To enable its users to enjoy the benefits of the Amazon Prime membership, Airtel has introduced a new prepaid bundle costing Rs 299. This means that all the Airtel prepaid users who opt for a monthly plan of Rs 299 would get unlimited access to the benefits offered by Amazon Prime. This includes access to Amazon’s vast collection of movies, TV series and Prime Originals like Comicstaan, Mirzapur, etc. via the Amazon Prime Video app and its catalogue of songs via the Amazon Prime Music app.

Benefits and offers under Airtel Thanks now come in three tiers – silver, gold, and platinum.

Airtel customers under the silver tier will get access to basic content like Airtel TV and Wynk Music for free. Under gold tier, Airtel users get access to additional telecom benefits, premium content and financial services as well.

A new prepaid plan under Airtel Thanks priced at Rs 299 comes bundled with 28 days of Amazon Prime membership, 2.5GB data per day, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day. Amazon Prime membership includes access to Prime Video and Prime Music. This prepaid plan will be available via retailers, Airtel’s website and the new Airtel Thanks app

With the revamped Airtel Thanks app, the telco has also integrated content on the platform. Users can now watch TV shows, movies, music videos directly on Airtel Thanks app from services like HOOQ, Zee5, and Wynk Music. The availability of content will depend on whether the user has access to such content.

The most premium platinum tier comes bundled with ‘VIP’ services including e-books, exclusive invites and priority access to events and sales. Airtel postpaid users will now see which tier their current plan is a part of.

In addition to this, Airtel prepaid users who subscribe to new bundle pack would also get access to Amazon’s catalogue of books and e-books via the Amazon Prime Reading and unlimited free fast shipping of items with early access to exclusive deals on Amazon India’s e-retail platform.
