Assembly Election 2021 Poll Dates Here’s The Full Schedule For These States, Results on May 2

On Friday, the Election Commission of India has finally announced the schedule for assembly polls that are going to be held in the West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry. As per to the schedule, the voting for the polls of these four states as well as one Union Territory is going to be conducted between March 27 and April 29, 2021. Assembly Election 2021 Schedule:

The official dates for the West Bengal Legislative Assembly elections has been announced and it is going to begin on 23 March and will be held till 29 April 2021 in total 8 different phases. The election has been held for total 294 seats.

Here are the dates for each phase of West Bengal Legislative Assembly elections that has recently announced by the Election Commission.

  • 1st phase of West Bengal assembly election will begin on 27 March 2021 for 38 seats.
  • 2nd phase of West Bengal assembly election will be held for 30 seats on 1 April 2021
  • 3rd phase of West Bengal assembly election will be held for 31 seats on 6 April 2021
  • 4th phase of West Bengal assembly election will be held for 44 seats on 10 April 2021
  • 5th phase of West Bengal assembly election will be held for 45 seats on 17 April 2021
  • 6th phase of West Bengal assembly election will be held for 43 seats on 22 April 2021
  • 7th phase of West Bengal assembly election will be held for 36 seats on 26 April 2021
  • 8th phase of West Bengal assembly election will be held for 35 seats on 29 April 2021

As per to the ECI, there are 8,32,94,960 eligible voters in the West Bengal for this upcoming assembly elections. This is a 2 per cent rise of the voters comparing to the previous electoral roll. In addition to that, the Election Commission in West Bengal polls is also going to appoint two special observers and can appoint a third as well, if required, as per to CEC statement.

Assam Legislative Assembly Election 2021 Schedule

The upcoming Assam Legislative Assembly election is all set to begin on March 27, 2021. The election in Assam is scheduled to be held in total of three different phases till April 6, 2021. The election is going to be conducted for electing 126 MLAs in total to the 14th Assam Legislative Assembly.

Assam Elections dates as per to its three phases are as follows:

  • 1st phase of the election will be held for 47 constituencies/seats in 12 districts. The poll will be conducted on 27 March, 2021 in Assam.
  • The 2nd phase of Assam elections will be held for 39 constituencies/seats in 13 districts. The poll will be conducted on 1 April, 2021.
  • The 3rd phase of the poll in Assam will be for 40 constituencies/ seats in 12 districts. The date scheduled for the third phase will be on 6 April, 2021.

Tamil Nadu Assembly Election 2021 Schedule

The upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly election is scheduled to be held on 6 April 2021. This is going to be the sixteenth legislative assembly election of the state and will be held in one phase only. This election is conducted for electing the members from 234 constituencies of the Legislative Assembly in Tamil Nadu.

The last day of nomination is on 19th March and the last day for the application withdrawal is on 22nd March 2021. The voting will take place on 6th April 2021.

Kerala Assembly Election 2021 Schedule

The Kerala Legislative Assembly election is all set to take place on 6th April. The polls have been conducted for electing total number of 140 MLAs to the 15th Legislative Assembly of Kerala.  The counting of the votes will be conducted on 2nd May 2021.

Puducherry Assembly Election 2021 Schedule

The Puducherry Legislative Assembly election is all set to take place on 6th April, 2021. However, the date for nomination will begin on 12 March 2021 which will conclude on 19 March 2021. The last date for withdrawing the application will be on 22nd March 2021 and the election will finally take place on April 6. The votes will at last be counted on 2nd May 2021.
