One of the most popular festivals of the Hindu is Bhadrakali Jayanti which is quite famous amongst the Hindus and the peoples celebrate this festival with very joy with full of enthusiasm. Talking about the Bhadrakali then she is the animal avatar of Goddess Parvati and she is one of the nine kinds of Goddess Shakti. As per the belief of Hindu, Bhadrakali Jayanti is glorified to memorialise the beginning of the god. As per myth, Devi Bhadrakali developed on this propitious day through Lord Shiva’s hair after the demise of Sati. She is tangible to destroy all the devils and save the universe from their grips. According to the calendar of Hindu, this Jayanti is celebrated on the Ekadashi which is stated on the 11th day of the Krishna Paksha which is the dark fortnight of the moon and this is come in every year on the month of ‘Jyeshta’. This Jayanti basically comes in the month of May and June every year, according to the calendar of Gregorian and now, in the year 2021, it falls on 5th June 2021 on Saturday. As per the popular books of Nilmat Purana or Vitasta Mahatmya in which it is stated if the devotee’s worship Goddess on this day then in their life a lot of joy and happiness will come. Along with this, a myth is also that doing the worship of the god will remove all the problems and obstacles which come in the devotee’s life and all their dreams and desires will also fulfil by doing the worship of the goddess because of Ekadashi. Also, the day always falls on Tuesday and Revathi Nakshatra, although, its importance rises if it is perceived through the time of Kumbh Mela.

The believers commemorate the celebration with grand enthusiasm and determination and on this day, the devotees chanting prayers in front of god with full dedication for fulfilling their wish. It is a myth that on this day the devotees have to wear black or blue coloured clothes and after that, the devotees give ‘Panchamrita Abhishek’ to the statue of Devi Bhadrakali by pouring milk, water, sugar, ghee and honey. Then, we have to dress up the statue by applying solah Sringaar and then on the statue the devotees have to pour the coconut water and then applying Chandan Puja and Bilva Puja. After that, in the mid of the day, devotee pray and chant Mantras to solicit favours from the Devi.
