The third edition of Indian Super League is underway, and it has seen quite a few exciting matches so far. The action no shifts at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai when the home team ChenDDnaiyin FC will take on the Delhi Dynamos FC on October 6, 2016.
It will the 6th match of ISL 2016, and it will also be the first game for Delhi team in this year. The Delhi team is ready with their new coach Gianluca Zambrotta to take on the defending champion Chennai.
Delhi Dynamos had a worse first season of ISL, they bounced back in the second season and reached the semi-final stages, but failed to claim the title. The third season is set with the third coach for Delhi but he Zambrotta is here with the two-year contract.
On the other side, Chennai will look to defend their title under the management of Marco Materazzi, who take them to the title in last year.
The clash on Thursday will not be only between Delhi and Chennai, but it will be between the two former World Cup winning teammates. The coach of Delhi “Gianluca Zambrotta” was the team member with the coach of Chennai ” Marco Materazzi” for in 2006 winning world cup team.
Zambrotta informed media wing that ” “I am very happy with the pre-season. We had a good pre-season and am more than happy with it, but the championship starts tomorrow. We will see tomorrow if we have done a good job. We hope to do a good job.”
The Delhi team will be relying on their marquee player Florent Malouda, and even he was also his team member in the past.
On the other hand, Chennai will be looking to open their account in the third season after their draw in the first match against the Atletico de Kolkata by 2-2.
Chennai has the solidity in their heart of the defense with the marquee player John Arne Riise. Riise knows the core and mentality of Delhi as he also played for Delhi Dynamos in last season of ISL.
Well, it will be the ultimate clash and fans will look to support their team. A big clash is guarbatee and Chennai is expected to pull out a win.
