The crime thriller movie, “Netrikann” the English translation of which is ‘The Third Eye” is originally a remake of the South Korean film, “Blind (2011). The film features talented Indian actress, “Nayanthara” in the lead role, while it also stars Ajmal Ameer and Sharan Shakti in significant roles as well. The movie is directed under the direction of Milin Rau and produced by Hyunwoo Thomas Kim and Vignesh Shivan under the banner of Rowdy Pictures and Kross Pictures.
The principal cinematography is done by R.D. Rajesekhar while Girishh Gopalakrishnan has given the music. The movie is about a visually impaired lady, “Durga” who is a witness in a criminal case. The story is about the courageous lady who despite being blind decided to take down the killer herself as interesting, high-stakes suspense plays out between both the characters. Nayanthara is playing the role of Durga in the movie and her performance is being extremely appreciated by the fans as well as by the critics.
Dr James Dinah and SI Maikandan role is portrayed by Ajmal Ameer and K. Manikandan. While Gowtham’s role is portrayed by Sharan Shakthi. The movie was released digitally in the Tamil language on 13th August 2021, that is, on Friday on the OTT platform of Disney + Hotstar. The movie, “Netrikann” has already been released for the audience on Disney + Hotstar, however, within two day’s of its digital release, the movie became the victim of piracy. The movie is available in quality at various piracy websites including Tamil Rockers and others.
Now, in this context, an official statement has been released by the lead role of the film, Nayantara. She stated, “All, the hardships are ruined like this.” Although the movie is available on pirated sites, we urge the viewers to kindly watch the films on their designated OTT platforms out of respect and courtesy. The cast as well as the whole crew of the movie has done extreme hard work to serve you the best in this critical time and thus, it would be best if we at least appreciated their hard work by watching the movie on their official releasing platforms.
