The genre of the series is romance, historical and melodrama and is produced by Kim Kyu-tae under the banner of Gt: st and was originally premiered on 7th March 2021 on the original network of tvN.
The plot of the series revolves around the story of the king of the Joseon Kingdom dynasty and his look-like, a clown whom he frantically puts on the throne to leave behind the hard power struggles to trouble the royal court and the royal family. The king puts the clown, his look like on the throne in order to run away from those who intend to kill him, however later, the clown becomes the king of Joseon on his own virtues. The young and vibrant newly-released Korean TV series, “Nevertheless” is currently airing on the original network of JTBC and was first premiered on 19th June 2021. The series features Han So-hee and Sang Kang in the lead roles as Yoo Na-bi and Park Jae-eon and tells a love story between a heartbroken woman who no longer trusts in love and underestimates the power of destiny and a flirtatious man, who likes to flirt but hates commitment. What will happen, when the two people who have such a wrong theory about love, are bound to fall in love. You Are My Spring (Season 1): 24th August 2021
The fantasy, romance series, “You Are My Spring” is another brand-new K-Drama series that has become quite popular among the fans, especially among youngsters, for its enthusiastic and modern storyline. Developed under the Studio Dragon, the series is created by Kim je-hyeon and is written and directed by Lee Minna and Jun Ji-Hyun respectively. The series consists of a total of 16 times, the running time of each episode is approximately 70 minutes and has already been released for the viewers on the original network of tvN on 5th July 2021.
The series mainly revolves around four people, who are still seven at heart even being a grown-up adult. Kang Da-jeong portrayed by Seo Hyun Jin is a hotel manager, who rose faster than her peers in terms of career, however, in terms of love-life, she was quite unfortunate. Maybe her poor choice of men has been inherited by her from her mother. Distributed mentally, she moves to a building and seeks the help of a psychiatrist, Joo Young-do portrayed by Kim Dong-Wook. Then, there is a CEO of an investment company, Chae Joon played by Yoon Park, who can read Da-jeong like an open book. Ahn Ga-Yeon played by Nam Gyu-ri is an actress who is cautious of love, as she has been used by her boyfriend. Apart from the tvN network, the series will also be available for streaming globally on Netflix from 24th August 2021.
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (Season 1): 28th August 2021
The much-anticipated Korean Drama, “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” is another forthcoming South Korean Tv series and is initially a remake of popular South Korean film, “Mr Handy, Mr Hond” by Kang Seok-beom and Shin Jung-goo. The genre of the series is Rom-com and is originally written by Shin Ha-eun. Meanwhile, the series is directed under the direction of yoo Je-won and produced under the production banner of Studio Dragon and Gt. st and will soon be releasing on Netflix as well as on tvN for the viewers.
The plot of the series is set in the seaside Gongjin village and is about a brewing romance between the community practical dentist, Yoon Hye-jin portrayed by Shin Min-a and man-of-all-work, Hong Du-sik played by Kim Seon-ho. The city dentist opens up a practice in the seaside village of Gongjin, which is the home of a charming all-rounder who is the exact opposite of her in every sense. Yet they find themselves getting drawn toward each other, like a moth drawn to a flame. The shooting of the series began on 8th May in the Pohang city of North Gyeongsang.
