One of the most popular and extremely adored Anime film of Japan, “Sailor Moon Eternal” is all set to make its release on one of the prominent digital platform. The film has already made its appearance theatrically in Japan in two parts. The first part was released on 8th January 2021 and the second part was released on 11th February 2021. The film was appreciated by the fans and got a tremendous response from the audience as well as from the critics. It is the first Sailor mon franchise and also the first-ever franchise of Japan that have been released in two parts.
The genre of the movie is fantasy drama. The spectacular storyline of the movie is one of the reasons why the movie did great in the Japanese theatres and it is all set to rock internationally with its digital release soon. The movie, “Sailor Moon Eternal” is originally based on the Sailor Moon Manga’s Dream arc which is written by Naoko Takeuchi. The movie is directed under the direction of Chiaki Kon and is produced by Raka Tanaka, Yosuke Asama and Hideharu Gomi under the production banner of Studio Deen and Toei Animation and is distributed by Toei Company Ltd.
The principal cinematography of the second part is done by Takashi Tanagida while the Shigemitsu Hamao had done the cinematography of the first and second part, meanwhile, Keiko Onodera has edited the movie. The credit for wiring this amazing anime story goes to Kazuyuki Fudeyasu. The movie is all set to steam on the topmost OTT platform on 3rd June 2021. The running time of the movie is 160 minutes, which mean that part 1 and part 2 both have a running time of 80 minutes each.
Sailor Moon Eternal Movie: Plot
The plot of the film starts in Tokyo where the people are preparing for the coming solar eclipse. Usagi and Chibiusa are the main characters in the movie who meet a mysterious unicorn, Helios. Helios comes in the dream of Chibiusa and tells him that he need his help in order to crack the seal of Golden Crystal. Meanwhile, there is a group named, “Dead Moon Circus” who have come to Juban in order to get the Silver Crystal that would eventually help them to control the planet Earth and Moon.

- Usagi aka Super Sailor’s character is voiced by Kotono Mitushi in Japanese and by Stephanie Sheh in English.
- Chibiusa aka Super Sailor Chibi Moon’s charter is voiced by Japanese actress Misato Fukuen and voice actress of America, Sandy Fox.
- Helios aka Pegasus’s character is voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka in Japanese and by Chris Niosi in English.
