The superhit Netflix TV series “The Witcher” has officially announced a second season of the series. The previous season 1 was released in the year 2019 on 20th December and consisted of a total of eight episodes. The series is a fantasy, action-adventure drama and was based on the novel of the same name by Andrzej Sapkowski. Season 1 got a mind-blowing response from the audiences. The character of Witcher played by Henry Cavill and Ciri played by Freya Allan was praised by everyone. Even the supporting character’s performance were very much appreciated by the fans. Though the announcement of the second season was done way before the release of its first season, the filming of season 2 halted because of the pandemic. Another reason why the filling of the second season took so long, was due to the fact that during the shooting the main lead Henry injured his leg muscle, and hence, the shooting was halted.
And therefore, the fans waited so long, for the next season. But the good news is that the shooting of “The Witcher Season 2” has already started on 17th August 2020 and it is expected that the season will soon be released on Netflix by the end of August 2021. Along with the previous cast, this time some new faces will also be seen in the upcoming season of the series. The Witcher Season 2: Star Cast
- Henry Cavill will once again be seen portraying the role of Geralt of Rivia aka Witcher.
- Freya Allan will be seen in the role of Princess of Cintra aka Ciri.
- Anya Chalotra will be seen playing the role of Sorceress, Yennefer.
- Adjoa Andoh will be seen in the role of Priestess, Nenneke.
- Cassie Clare will be seen in the role of Philippa Eilhart, Redania King Vizimir’s primary advisor.
- Graham McTavish will be seen playing the role of Dijkstra, Redania’s head of intelligent secret service.
- Kevin Doyle as Ba’lian, who is an Elf Refugee.
- Chris Fulton as a sadistic mage, Rience
- While Simon Callow will be seen in the role of Codringher and Liz Carr will be seen portraying the role of Fenn. Both Codringher and Liz are partners in crime.
Along with them, other supporting characters will also be seen in the second season of the series. And so far, no official trailer of the series has been launched by the creators of the series.
