The recently premiered psychological thriller film ‘The Woman in the Window’ has been getting positive reviews from the audience since it was released a few days back on May 14, 2021. The critics are also appreciating the movie for its captivating storyline which makes it a worth watching film. Directed by Joe Wright, the movie is an adaptation of a 2018 thriller novel of the same name by A. J. Finn. The movie stars Anthony Mackie, Brian Tyree Henry, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Wyatt Russell in the lead cast. The movie is a psychological thriller film that revolves around a child psychologist Anna Fox (Amy Adams) who is separated from his husband and lives alone in an apartment in Manhattan. Anna has an anxiety disorder due to which she remains isolated from the outside world and remains in her apartment most of the time from where she observes all her neighbors from a window of her second-story building. New neighbors have also recently moved in across the street and Anna has been also observing them. The recently moved-in Russell family includes Gary Oldman, Fred Hechinger, and Julianne Moore in the family. However, things turn out upside down when Anna witnessed a crime in their apartment.

The movie was originally scheduled for a premiere in October 2019 but it was postponed and the date shifted to May 2020 because the movie was re-edited due to its poor test screening results. After which the movie was not able to get a theatrical release due to a covid-19 pandemic outbreak in 2020. As the pandemic situation didn’t get stable back then, the OTT giant Netflix had brought the digital rights of the movie in August 2020. On 14th May 2021, ‘The Woman in the Window’ finally got a direct digital release on Netflix. The audience or viewers can online stream the movie on Netflix.
