The Woods is the polish serial drama thriller series that was created by Harlan Coben based on the novel of the same name. The television series has been directed by Bartosz Konopka and Leszek Dawid. The series has been premiered on 12th June in Poland and on the streaming giant Netflix. The series is presented in 1994 and 2019 and reveals the story of the Warsaw Prosecutor named Pawel Kopinski. He had been apart from his beloved sister in a summer camp of Korczak High School and till the date couldn’t recover from the loss.
The story starts with a middle-aged man who is starring at the point of a gun and flooding tears with his eyes. Suddenly a voice comes from behind “when you stare at the gun things don’t get slow down”. We go back in August 1994, to the summer camp in Korczak High School. Near the camp in the jungle, there is an investigation going on, a dead body is stuffed into the bag. When a detective see the man who is starring at the incident is none other than Pawel Kopinski played by Grzegorz Damiecki.
It is set at the end of summer and children are spending quality time. He has a crush on a co-counselor of the camp named Laura Goldsztajn played by Agnieszka Grochowska and his sister Kamila played by Martyna Byczkowaska also makes fun of him and keep asking do you like her or just wants to get laid. There is also his mother who is Doctor in a came, the role of his mother is played by Ewa Skibinski. There is also another person in the camp named Artur Perkowski played by Adam Wietrzynski whose mother is the keeper of the camp.
One day at night Laura, Artur, and Pawel scout a car. Artur sees if they go on a joy ride, they go through the forest. It is really an interesting mysterious series that is a must-watch show for the suspense thriller lovers. The series is starring an ensemble cast that makes it so interesting.
