One of the much-anticipated Tamil movies, “Dikkiloona” is finally all set to make its digital release and to give the audience a bunch of rom-com and an impeccable dose of science-fiction and romantic comedy. This movie also marks the debut of Indian cricketer, Harbhajan Singh in the Kollywood film industry who was cast by the production team in a significant supporting role. The filming of this movie took place in March 2020, prior to the Wuhan virus pandemic, however, the release of the same was delayed for more than a year mainly because of the lockdown and later because of the latest curfew that the country witnessed due to the second wave of the ongoing virus.
The movie, “Dikkiloona” is directed under the direction of Karthik Yogi and produced by KS Singh and Kotapadi J. Rajesh under the production banner of KJR Studios. Meanwhile, the soundtrack, as well as the music composition in this film, is done by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while the principal photography of the same began in November 2019. Well, after rummaging and thinking so much, the producers have opted the release the movie digitally meaning that the movie is all set to release on the OTT platform of Zee 5 in the Tamil language for the viewers on the 10th September 2021.
Dikkiloona Plot
The genre of the movie, “Dikkiloona” is science, fiction, romance, and comedy. The backdrop of the film is set in the year 2027 A.D, the first time when the time machine was invented by a group of scientists. Mani uses the time-travelling machine to time travel for the first time ever to the year 2020. Reason only he knows? Well, he goes back to the time when he got married, so that he could turn the tables. He travels to the different time zones from 2027, 2026, 2025, 2024 to 2023.

The famous Tamil actor and film producer N. Santhanam is playing the role of Mani alongside Anagha, who is playing the role of Nivetha. It has also been said that the lead male actor, Santhanam will be in a triple role in the movie meaning that he will be portraying the role of comedian, antagonist and protagonist. Apart from them, Indian cricketer and actor, Harbhajan Singh will be seen in a supporting role. Yogi Babu is portraying the role of the scientist named, ‘Dikkilona’, while Shirin Kanchwala is in the role of Meghna.

The official trailer of the movie, “Dikkiloona” was released on 21st August 2020 on the original youtube channel of Sony Music South. As of now, the trailer has got more than 15.4 million viewers and more than 333K likes. The viewers are extremely excited to witness Santhanam in three different roles and are looking forward to the hilarious and trademark style of the actor.
