Exciting news for Anime lovers, a brand new Anime series named “Shadows House” is all set to take us all in a mysterious and dark world of the Shadow family. This series is an adaptation of popular Japanese manga series of the same name. The credit of writing and illustrating this marvelous series goes to Somato. The series is directed under the direction of Kazuki Ohashi and is written by Toshiyo Ono. The music is given by Kenichiro Suehiro and is licensed under Funimation and Muse communication. The makers have already released its first episode on 11th April 2021 at various global networks including Tokyo MX, FTV, GTV, and MBS, and also this series can be watched on the online platform Funimation.
In any series, the first episode is of greater importance as it contains the gist of the show and gives us broader prospects on what exactly the show is all about, and also left us guessing about the next episodes. Shadows House: Episode 1 Recap and Review
The title of the first episode was “The Shadow and Her Doll”. In this episode, we as viewers will enter into the world of the most mysterious family, The Shadows. Each and every member of the shadow is puzzling, strange, and at the same time holds a bizarre ability to create dolls that look exactly like a normal person and possess all the traits of a being. In this episode, we saw these dolls working as servants in the house of the shadow family. Each member has their own personal doll that we do all the things for them with just one command.
In this episode, we were introduced to one of the members of the Shadow family, named ‘Kate Shadow’. Judging from the first appearance of Kate, it looks like she is a little reserved and likes to stay in her room. She is not like other members of the family, who are so loud and opinionated but in fact, she is just the opposite.
She is shy, distant, indifferent, and introverted, which left the viewers to understand the mentality of Kate. It raised a lot of question, as to what made Kate like this. In the same episode, we were introduced to the first doll of the Shadow family. Her name is Emilico. She has blonde hair and a jolly appearance. She is funny, witty, cheerful, goofy, and does all the work given to her with full dedication and with full diligence and hence the fans loved Emilico at first sight.
However, her existence is only limited to serving the only member of the family, Kate. Emilico does not have any idea about who she is and what is happening around her and all she knows is that she has to serve Kate. We saw a little conversation between Kate and Emilico and saw Kate saying Emilico that she does not like when people stare at her or at her face. This definitely left the audience with a question, as to why Kate seems off and why she does not come out from her house.
One thing is for sure, Kate has a dark past which will be revealed soon in the coming episodes, but then, it also raises another question that is Kate the only one in the Shadow family, who has a dark past or there are other members too and what about the dolls. To get the answers to all these questions, we have to watch the upcoming episode 2 “Outside the Room” of the “Shadow House”. The expected release date of episode 2 is 18th April 2021.
