An accident took place at East Boston on the afternoon of Friday, where a driver has been charged for a fatal accident by which Chief Terence M. Delehanty registered a report from the Winthrop Police Department. The driver is identified as Kenneth Thompson age 84 who is from East Boston and the driver has been charged with the allegation of Motor Vehicle Homicide with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol and along with this, he was also charged with failure to Stop/Yield. The accident shocked everyone and the lady who was fatally injured with this accident are admitted to the nearest hospital for further treatment and there is still no confirmation about her health update. It is expected that she is fine and she is recovering from the injuries which she occupied while the accident. The accident happened at the Est Boston by which the road of the area has been closed for few hours and now, all the route is clear.
The department of Winthrop public safety dispatchers gets several calls on 911 on the afternoon of Friday around 3:26 PM where they get the call that a two-car accident has been placed at the junction of Hagman Road and Walden Street. The police department of Winthrop along with Fire Department EMS with the Action Ambulance reached the spot to rescue the injured persons where they found that a lady who droves the jeep was fatally injured with the accident.
After that, the lady was taken to the nearest hospital named Massachusetts General Hospital by ambulance where she was treated for the injuries which she gets in the accident. The lady is treated under the supervision of several doctors who treated her well to gets recover from the injuries which she gets in the car accident and also the driver of the car who hits the jeep car got arrested by the police for breaking the rules and drive the car in a drunk state.
After the accident took place in East Boston the Winthrop Police Department started an investigation for finding the real cause of the accident where they found that a Hyundai Elantra moving northbound on the road named Hagman Road which is drove by Thompson and the driver gets crash with the Jeep, which was moving on the road named Pauline Street and moving towards Woodside Avenue where both of the cars gets crashed at the junction of Pauline Street. The accident is still under investigation and surely they will comes with an official statement regarding the accident.
