Robin Boyd who was near the scene said, “My kids were on the slide and you know they were going to fight and we just heard a few shots and we started running immediately. I hid behind a tree to get the shield.” According to Robin Boyd, a total number of four gunshots were fired at the Frayser Elementary School. Another witness named Brittany Jones said, “I do not know what happened, a guy just passed us shooting and everyone ran.” The Memphis police department initiated a search operation for the shooters.
