Google Pays tribute to Zohra Sehgal with a Special doodle

Today on 29th September 2020, Google has dedicated a doodle to actress and dancer Zohra Sehgal and they tribute her with the doodle of her image. She is an actor, dancer, and also a choreographer, and today in 1946 Zohra’s tremendous film Neecha Nagar was published or released at the Cannes Film Festival. This film secured the title of Indian cinema’s first international significant achievement after that it was awarded the highest honor of the festival named Palme d’Or prize. Zohra started her acting career when she was only 28 and served herself in several movies for around six decades. After seeing her effort in the movies, she earned several awards and respect such as Padma Shri in 1998 and Padma Vibhushan in 2010.

Partition Incident

After the partition of India and Pakistan, she decides to love in Pakistan with her husband named Kameshwar Sehgal, After reaching in Lahore, Pakistan they didn’t feel well and feels that they are disjoint from the people, after that, they decided to return Mumbai and then they returned to then Mumbai she worked in late Prithviraj Kapoor’s theatre group in the post of stage artist and she served this for around 14 years.

Why She Called Herself a Tomboy

She called herself a tomboy in several interviews, shows, and many press conference as she had a habit to climb trees and also she used to participate in various outdoor games such as football, cricket, or any type of outdoor games and she never liked the idea of staying inside the house or playing with the dolls as she wasn’t fond of indoor games.

Treatment of glaucoma

Few people know that she was suffered from glaucoma which means she lost her vision of the left eye for which she did a treatment for this and got diagnosed with glaucoma. After that, she was recovered soon in England.

Traveled Life

When Zohra was young she lost her mother and her mother’s last wish is that her daughter becomes a liberated woman and completes her studies at Queen Mary College, which is in Lahore, Pakistan. Zohra was attached to studying the food, cultures, and different type of traditions for which she was traveled across India such as Europe and West Asia with her uncle in a normal car. When she becomes an adult she traveled to several countries with the dance group named Uday Shankar such as Egypt, Japan, and the US.

Zohra’s last movie was Saawariya features Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, which was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the year of 2007. Her hits movies are ‘Cheeni Kum’, ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, ‘Dil Se’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…’ and ‘Veer Zaara’. On 10th July 2014, She died at the age of 102 in her Delhi residence.
