Guru Harkrishan (23 July 1656 – 30 March 1664) was the son and successor of his father and the seventh guru of Sikhs, Guru Har Rai. The young boy became the eighth Guru of the Sikh Community as his father passed away when he was at the age of five and became youngest Guru of the community among all ten Gurus. After his father died he consoled all the disciples and devotees. But Soon he died at the young age of Eight during an epidemic in Delhi. Thereafter, his granduncle Guru Tegh Bahadur became the next Guru of the community.
Har Krishan was born in Kiratpur Sahib, Rupnagar, Punjab, India to the eighth Guru Har Rai and Kishan dei (Mata Sulakhni). He had the shortest tenure as he died within two years.
