On Friday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the isolated places over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Gujarat are likely to receive heavy rainfall today.
Heavy Rainfall Expected in Parts of UP
The weather forecast agency further predicted that heavy rains are also probably to fall over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab.
In the All India Weather Warning Bulletin of IMD, it stated, “Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, and Goa.”
According to the weather forecasting agency, thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is also very likely to occur at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Odisha.
Squally weather is likely to prevail over Gujarat coast. In view of this, the organisation had advised fishermen not to venture into these areas for the next few days.
