Here we have our new Miss World 2016, Delhi girl Priyadarshini Chatterjee win the title of Miss India World 2016. She saw off competition from Bangalore girl Sushruthi Krishna, who was the 1st runner up and Lucknow’s Pankhuri Gidwani, to win the title here last night.
Actor Shah Rukh Khan attended the grand finale of the Miss India event in Mumbai on April 9. Shah Rukh, dashing in a black suit, posed for a picture with the winners.
Hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and Manish Paul, the event saw brilliant performances by Varun Dhawan, Tiger Shroff, Shahid Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sunidhi Chauhan, and rapper Badshah.
The jury included Sanjay Dutt, Yami Gautam, Arjun Kapoor, Kabir Khan, Amy Jackson, Miss World 2015 Mireia Lalaguna, tennis player Sania Mirza, Ekta Kapoor, designers Manish Malhotra and Shane Peacock.
Pankhruri Gidwani was crowned 2nd runner-up, Sushruthi Krishna was chosen 1st runner-up, and title holder for the last year, Aditi Arya, crowned Priyadarshini Chatterjee Miss India 2016.
