A bomb blast was reported in a residential area of Lahore in Pakistan on Wednesday. According to the sudden reports, almost two people have died and seventeen other people have badly injured in the bomb blast that took place in a car that was standing. Along with this, the explosion took place in Johar Town near Lahore’s hospital. Also, the blast can be located near the residence of Lahore, Hafiz Saeed, who is a co-founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba and the chief of Jamaat-ud-Dawah. After the incident took place, the rescue team with police has reached the spot and started rescue operations.
At the spot, the rescue team found 2 dead bodies and at least 17 injured people. A police officer of Capital City confirmed to the media that in the incident two people have died on the spot and left seventeen people injured. The cause of the explosion did not find yet but police have been investigating the cause, a police officer said.
While many witnesses who were present at the spot said that due to the explosion glass windows of the nearby houses and buildings have broken. As per the reports of the media, the sound of the explosion can be heard from far away from the area. When the incident took place in Lahore, the injured people were taken to the nearest hospital by private vehicles like auto-rickshaw, and cars. The injured people have been admitted to Lahore’s Jinnah hospital by nearby peoples.
While due to the high intensity of the bomb blast, the glass window of the nearby houses was broken even the sound of the blast can be heard from far away. Along with this, some building near the incident was heavily damaged in the explosion.
An unknown witness told the media that an unidentified man parked a motorcycle just a few times ago near a house and later, it was exploded. Meanwhile, the police have cordoned off the spot for further investigation of the blast. With all of this, the traffic was also stopped during the investigation.
Also, some videos and photos went viral on social media and many netizens are talking about this and linking this case to any terrorist activity. The Punjab Chief Minister, Usman Buzdar asked for the report from the police regarding to the explosion in Lahore. He also ordered to investigate this case deeply. Many incidents have already happened in Lahore and today, one more incident is getting viral on social media.
