Mahashay Dharampal Gulati: Success Story of The ‘Spice King’ (MDH Uncle) Chacha Twitter Reaction

India’s legendary businessman and “spicy king” founder of MDH Mahasay Dharampal Gulati is no more between us. He passes away at 98, on the 3rd of December in the early morning at the Hospital. Mr Mahasay was being treated and took the last breath around 5:30 AM in the City Hospital. According to the reports, he was getting treatment for Covid-19 and also has a cardiac arrest problem. He was India’s successful businessman and also, known for his success.

He started his journey with lots of hard work and for that, he also left his journey and started to work with his family too. He belonged to Pakistan where he struggles for his life and family.

Mahasay Dharampal Gulati Life Journey:

Mr. Gulati was born on 27th March 1923 in Sialkot which is now presented as Pakistan. His father was known as Mahasay Chunni Lal Gulati who founded the MDH. The report says, his family came to India after the partition of India-Pakistan. Dharampal and his family spent some time in the refugee camp of Amritsar. After the camp, his family came to Delhi to find some work for their life. When they start their journey from Pakistan, he brought only 1500 rupees in his pocket.

When they reached Delhi, Gulati started to open the spice shop in Karol Bagh, In 1953. When his work went well in the area, he decided to open a new shop in Chandni Chowk, In 1959. Then, Mahasay decided to open the new manufacturing company and took the land of space to set up the Mahashian Di Hatti. After a few years, he took his business at the expense of expectations.

He started from a small shop and now, made a 1,000 crore empire with his hard work and named his company MDH. The company is one of India’s big brands and exports spices across countries such as Canada, Switzerland, the US, Japan, and more. The spices transported by 1000 of stockies and 4 lakh retailer of India. MDH collaborate with various kind of spices in India with other companies.

After some time, Gulati was honored with the highest-paid CEO of India and as Fast Moving Consumer Goods. He also brings a salary of Rs. 21 crores in his home. In 2019, India’s Government honored Mr. Gulati with the Padma Bhushan award and India’s Highest Civilian Award.

He also is known for his charity where he donated 90% of his salary to Mahasay Chunni Charitable Trust. The trust work for the 300-bed hospital including hospitals and 4 schools for the Slums area people.

Mahasay was also a Managing Director in Super Delicacies Private Limited, Mahashian Di Hatti Private Limited as a Director, and Chairman in Mata Chanan Devi Hospital which is in New Delhi. He was such a great man and will be remembered by his loved ones. May God bless his soul.
