After a video of assaulting and raping a girl went viral on social media, the aggressiveness of the people around the nation can be seen on social media. In the viral video, a victim was being gang-raped by four men, and another woman was also seen in the video which was helping those men. The case has been registered for them and since the video is being viral, the Assam police were investigating and finding those culprits. Also, the police had promised to reward if anyone will identify and help to catch those boys in the video. The investigation had been started and police have also taken help from neighboring states to find out those culprits.
According to the recent reports of police, five culprits from Bangladesh including a woman have been arrested by the police on Thursday. They have a connection with the assaulting, harassing, and gang-rape of woman case in Ramamurthy Nagar, Madras. The video was viral in North-East, India. Later, when the case was filed against them, the Assam police issued the photos of culprits on social media and also, promised to reward anyone who will provide the information to the police. Now, the culprits- four men and a woman have been arrested by the Assam police.
An incident also happened in Jodhpur where a girl committed suicide in her rented room. Both these incidents took place around the same time, due to which people had said that the incident in Jodhpur is related to the incident in Nagaland. The Jodhpur, Rajasthan suicide case took place on Sunday, May 23, 2021. Later, Robin Hibu (IPS Officer), Ampareen Lyngdoh (Meghalaya MLA), and Kiren Rijiju (Union Minister) cleared that both incidents are different.
Who Are Culprits?
According to the police, the case was registered against 6 people including 2 women, said Kamal Pant, Police Commissioner of Bangalore. The accused has been arrested from Ramamurthy Nagar, Bangalore. Also, the names of the accused have been revealed by the police as Sagar(23), Mohammed Babu Sahik (30), Ridoy Babo(25), they all are residents of Bengaluru, and Hakil(23) belongs to Hyderabad. While the police did not reveal the identity of the woman. The police have cleared that the incident took place last week. All the accused belongs to Bangladesh but the crime happened in Bengaluru. They recorded the video and shared it on social media.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police said that one of the accused was identified from the Mogbazar area in Dhaka. The face of the accused was also identified from the profile of facebook and later, police found the suspect. Along with this, the police did not reveal any information about the girl. Inquiry is going on with the culprits so that they can know the details of the case and the reason behind this brutal incident.
