They didn’t let it go for long and revised the price in few hours down to 1 paisa a liter each. As per the sources, these prices were earlier announced with the mistake and company took back the mistake as soon as they realized it.

“The reduction was supposed to be 1 paisa but due to a clerical error the price prevalent on 25 May was communicated as today’s price,” a senior official of Indian Oil Corp (IOC), the nation’s largest fuel retailer, explained. You all should know that Petrol price in Delhi now costs Rs 78.42 per liter and diesel Rs 69.30.

As you all may know that so far the petrol price was increased by Rs 3.8 per liter and diesel by Rs 3.38.

Also, the government is planning to take this whole issue under GST and reports are coming that various state governments can also reduce the price or rate if they want too by themselves but they won’t. Delhi has the cheapest price among all metros and most state capitals.
