The 50-year old priest of Anglican Church, Thomas Mckenzie and his 22-year old daughter, Ella passed away on 23rd August, Monday morning after encountering a tragic car crash on I-40 west of Nashville. As per the initial reports at hand, Mckenzie who is a priest at the Anglican in North America and founding churchman of the Redeemer Church in Nashville was reported to be heading for a trip to New Mexico. In fact, prior to the car accident, Mckenzie took over his Twitter account and tweeted about his trip which reads, “The first day of vacation. Driving with my kid to New Mexico. Today’s goal? Shamrock, Texas.”

According to the concerned investigating officers, the two of them were on their way to Texas, their first stop on a vacation trip to New Mexico, when the vehicle they were driving in struck with a tractor-trailer on Monday morning at around 9:50 AM local time. The passing news of the Thomas Mckenzie and his daughter, Ella was first announced by Associate Pastor of Redeemer Church, Rev. Kenny Benge in an official email message.

The message reads, “It is with deep sorrow that I write to tell you that this morning, Thomas and his 22-year old daughter, Ella passed away in an accident on I-40 west of Nashville.” The message from the email further added, “The duo were riding to Santa Fe, Mexico where the daughter of Mckenzie, Ella was to resume her education at the St. John’s college. Thomas was just starting his legitimate vacation.”

Mckenzie was one of the longtime priests of Redeemer Church, an Anglican Church in North America Congregation, which he helped discovered after leaving the Church of Episcopal. He was regarded as one of the best-known fathers in the Evangelical circles in Nashville city, along with companions across many classes. Apart from being a permanent pastor at the Anglican Church, he was also the writer of the Anglican way and numerous other books and also a regular critic about film and trending events on the internet.

The Best Selling author, a famous speaker and speaker coach of New York Times, Stephen Mansfield has been one of the regular churchgoers and parishioners of the McKenzie congregation. For many years he has been attending the religious lessons chanted by Mckenzie and in that process, the duo also became good friends.

After learning about Thomas Mckenzie’s passing, Mansfield took over his Twitter handle, “@MansfieldWrites” and tweeted, “Father Thomas Mckenzie died in a car crash today. He was my friend and taught me of god.”Mackenzie loved his family, his friend and his church. He was a rare soul who got the opportunity to take a sight of God and with his religious and spiritual wisdom, he enlightened many. May the soul of Mackenzie and his daughter, Ella rest in peace.
