TRAI Channel Selector app: Calculate your TV bills you have pay after February 1

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) came up with a new tool that may possibly guess an estimated total bill that one would acquire after 1 February 2019. To make you more aware about your charges that you have to pay after new TRAI rule which will implement from 1st February 2019, here is the list of some of the channels and its packs along with its prices. So let’s have a look…

For Base Pack

For the base pack, users will have to pay Rs 130 as the Network Capacity Fee that covers up to 100 channels. Moreover, a sum of 18 per cent GST will put on to the complete pack.

Every single paid channel new to the base pack will add the cost to the overall sum. All the 25 Doordarshan channels will also be accessible as average in the base pack.

Entertainment Channels

While selecting all the 15 SD Hindi General Entertainment Channels (GEC), users have to pay is Rs 493, with the Network Capacity Fee as well as the GST. And for only 8 HD Hindi channels, users have to pay Rs 313.

If the users want to go for all five English GEC channels, at that time the amount will be Rs 203, with the Network Capacity Fee and the GST. Whereas, for all the 7 HD channels, the amount will get increase and will go up to Rs 241.

For the Lifestyle Based Channels

For complete number of three English and Hindi SD lifestyle channels which are registered in the app, you will have to pay Rs 160 and for the HD versions of the same, it will lead to increase in price aand will cost Rs 166.

For the freeloaders

If you only want to watch Free-To-Air (FTA) channels, then you won’t require to pay any further added price for every single channel. You only have to pay the Network Capacity Fee that is of Rs 130 and the 18 per cent GST amount that in this case sums to a overall of Rs 154. You can add up to 100 FTA channels.

For the Sports Channels

If you pick entirely SD sports channels only in the a la carte model, at that time the maximum amount you have to pay will be Rs 331, comprising the Network Capacity Fee and the GST.
