In an accident in Furnas Lake in Brazil, 5 people have died on Saturday, 8th January 2022. Colonel Edgard Estevo da Silva has shared this news in a press conference on the day of this accident. Colonel Edgard Estevo da Silva is commander of the Minas Gerais Firefighters in Brazil. This news has created a stir along Furnas Lake. The investigation as well as the rescue operation continues to take place in the concerned lake. This accident happened when a fragment of rock along the lake detached itself and collapsed onto three travelling boats. There were around 56 people on the boat at the time of this misadventure.

The video has stirred people as the video has captured the moments while the boats were sinking in the concerned lake. No sooner did the cliff collapse onto the boaters than the boat initiated to sink in the lake. The Capitolio is a tourist spot because of Furnas Lake. The official sources have informed the families of all the victims so that they may recognize their family members who have been rescued by the concerned authority.

Shortly after this incident, this place has been restricted for visitors as the police investigation is going on along the accident scene. As far as the rescue operation is concerned, the rescue operation is consecutive since the last Saturday. The rescue team has rescued 32 people alive and recovered 5 dead bodies. The rescue team is striving so hard; nevertheless, it has yet not rescued around 20 victims of this incident. It is being said that all the three boats were on a weekend trip.
If we talk about the injured people in the concerned accident, all the rescued victims are facing some injuries; hence, they have been admitted to a hospital. Earlier, they were treated at the place of this misadventure. Shortly after the treatment by the paramedics, they were taken to a hospital with the view to their fast recovery. The number of passengers has been estimated based on the statements given by the rescued passengers. The police have stated that the missing victims might be declared to be dead if they do not get any information about the status of missing victims. May the soul of all the victims rest in peace.
