Recently, a tweet of the Canadian singer, songwriter and musician and also the girlfriend of Elon Musk, Grimes is creating a lot of uproar on social media. Grimes took over her Twitter handle and announced that the American rapper, Lil Uzi Vert is buying a whole planet whose name is reported to be WASP-127B. Vert has also acknowledged the above tweet stating that he is still working on it. The Canadian singer, however, further stated that the legal documentation and procedure for the buying of the extraterrestrial body, WASP-127B is still under process, thus making the American rapper the first human to lawfully own an entire planet.
However, since then, many people including netizens are quite curious about the new planet named, WASP-127B. According to the report, the planet was discovered a long time ago, probably 10 years ago by the Super Wide Angle Search for Planets in the year 2008. Later, in the year 2016, the discovery of the extra-terrestrial body was made public. Therefore, in simple words, the WASP -127B is an extrasolar planet meaning that it is outside the solar system of Earth and is reported to orbit the star having the same name.
Moreover, unlike our planet, Earth that takes a total of 365 days to revolve around the sun, the newly found planet takes a day or two extra to revolve around its orbit. In addition, the extrasolar planet is supposed to be positioned around 522.6 light-years away from our solar system, clearly stating the fact that WASP-127b is extremely far away from our imagination, as 1 light-year is equal to 5.87 trillion miles. Additionally, the girlfriend of Elon Musk reshared a tweet over her Twitter handle, revealing the size of the lately discovered extra planet.
According to that tweet, WASP-127b is a gas colossus exoplanet that is 1.4 times bigger than the planet Jupiter revolving around a yellow fairy small star. Meanwhile, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration has reported the mass of the 127B to be around 0.1647 Jupiter. For now, there is no other name for the planet other than WASP-127b. Maybe, the rapper will come up with a new name in the near future, if the reports of him buying the planet is assumed to be true.
However, above all this, the netizen did not fail to react to Grimes’s tweet. Well, the majority of social media users looked quite astonished to discover that the American rapper, Vert has his own planet, there were still some people who used the moment to share a remarkable genuine laugh. One tweeter user commented that “his only question is if the rapper is the first to own a planet who is he paying for the planet and if so then why?” The same user continued saying that “He also has an oceanfront property in Idaho for sale if you want to purchase that as well” and ended tagging the rapper.
