On Wednesday, Dhruv Tahil, the son of Dalip Tahil (Bollywood and TV actor), has been arrested by Anti-Narcotics Cell branch for allegedly acquiring drugs, as per to a recent report. Since last year, the Mumbai Police crime branch and Anti-Narcotics Cell branch have been after drug dealers which have also revealed some big names from the Indian film industry dealing with these peddlers.
As per to a police official, the WhatsApp chats of Dhruv was surfaced in an on-going investigation and the chats revealed that he was in contact with a drug peddler. In a recent investigation by ANC on a drug peddler revealed the connection of Dhruv Tahil and a drug dealer after which Dhruv was taken into the custody by the ANC Bandra unit.
What leads to Dhruv Tahil’s Arrest?
According to a police official, the Anti-Narcotics Cell branch had recently arrested an alleged drug peddler named Muzammil Abdul Rahman Shaikh. He was acquiring 35 grams of a drug called Mephedrone after which the officials arrested him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
While doing the investigation on this case, an alleged WhatsApp chats were disclosed which revealed that Dhurv was in contact with Shaikh since the year 2019. The alleged chats revealed the connection between Dhruv and that drug peddler that they were in contact for drug dealing where Dhruv is asking him to get some drugs, the official said.
Another report suggests that Dhruv has also allegedly transferred money to the bank account of Shaikh at least 6 times. Now, this case is in the hand of ANC team which has been led by Deputy Commissioner of Police Datta Nalawade and he is going to conduct further investigation on this, the official added.

Among the well-wishers, Nafisa Ali, the well-known Indian actress also called him ‘Handsome’ in the comment section of that post.
