Consequently, Brewery and bar staff have criticized Watt for his act of transferring his 20% stakes to the fund for employees is something which will curtail the progress rate of the company. They have also claimed that the CEO is putting pressure on them to grow the company quickly. The CEO has expressed that he has done this so as to give a gift to the employees of BrewDog.

On the basis of the last year’s records of the company, the annual bonus for every employee varies between 3000 Euros and 5000 Euros twice every the year. On top of that, James Watt has gifted the employees of the company 120000 Euros, including four annual payments from June. Although the ECO of BrewDog has expressed his decision of gifting 20% of his personal stake to the employees of BrewDog Corporation yet the gifted shares are not in circulation because the plan to list on the stock exchange has been unfastened.

Now, the decision of James Watt has been opposed by a number of senior employees of the company. At present, James Watt owns 24.2 % of the share of BrewDog. However, she has shared 5 % of the share to a fund for the better future of the employees of Brewdog. It means that he is still holding 19.2 % shares of BrewDog. He made the announcement to gift  5 % of the shares of BrewDog Corporation to his employees. He has shared the 5 % of the stocks of the company from his personal stocks.
