Recently, on 28th July 2021, the 62-year old popular American actress, Jamie Lee Curtis appeared in an exclusive interview conducted by AARP, spilling beans about her personal and professional life, however, what intrigued the attention of the audience was the fact that Curtis talked about her youngest child in the interview. With the consent of their youngest child, the actress told the interviewers and to the rest of the world that their 25-year old daughter named, “Ruby” was born as a male, previously as Thomas Guest. Curtis further stated that she along with her husband, Christopher Guest is incredibly proud to see their son becoming their daughter.
Curtis and her husband, Guest suffered from an infertility issue for many years and thereafter they decided to adopt a child. Later, the duo adopted two daughters, Annie and Ruby. Ruby is currently 25 years old and was born as a male and was earlier known as Thomas. The youngest, as well as the eldest daughter of Curtis, preferred to stay away from the limelight most of the time, and thus not much is known about both of them.
However, in the recent interview given to AARP, the actress of Knives Out revlead that they adopted Ruby in 1996. Curtis also said that she strongly condemns the fact and this old idea which states that gender is fixed. In fact, she has long abandoned this idea and she is welcoming the idea of constant metamorphosis with open arms. The actress also talked that they themselves have watched their own son turning into their daughter, and they could not be happier than that.
They are glad that their daughter was able to chase and pursue her happiness and she hopes and wishes, more people would come forward and support their children in doing what they think is best for them. Curtis continued to speak that as a matter of fact, the gender and sexuality of a person is no one else business. Talking about her daughter Ruby, the actress told the interviewer that she is a computer gaming editor and is soon planning to get married to her fiance next year.
The proud mother of Annie and Ruby also stated that she will direct the wedding ceremony of her dearest daughter. In the year 2019, Ruby shared a picture along with her girlfriend, however, it is uncertain if they are still together. Curtis who was born from Hollywood parents, Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis has always been vocal about her support for the LGBTQ+ community and has often talked about her compassion and empathy towards the community that are struggling since childhood to find their existence in this world.
