As per to a special resolution that has been recently passed by the board of the company has revealed that Seema Patil, who is the wife of Zerodha’s founder Nithin has been promoted to the whole-time director of the company and she will now take a salary of up to Rs 100 crore per year.
This start-up firm was founded on 15th August 2010 by Nithin Kamath and Nikhil Kamath as an Indian financial services company, offering retail as well as institutional broking, mutual funds, currencies, bonds and more. The company is headquartered in Bangalore and is physically operating in a number of major cities in India. Last year, Zerodha has become the Indian largest retail stockbroker and subsidises upwards of 15 per cent of everyday retail volumes all over the stock exchanges in India, as of December 2020.
