WWE Extreme Rules 2019 Results, Recap, Grades, Winner & Highlights Match Video

The professional wrestling, WWE Extreme Rules (2019) was held on July 14, 2019, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was the eleventh event under the Extreme Rules sequence of events. The event comprised of total number of thirteen matches, which also comprised of two on the pre-show. In an unplanned main event, Brock Lesnar cashed in his Money in the Bank agreement on Seth Rollins in order to win the Universal Championship for a record third time.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Finn Bálor (c)

Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Finn Bálor (c) to win WWE Intercontinental Championship when Balor went for the Coup de Grace, Nakamura then moved out of the way as well as drilled Balor with a Kinshasa to the back of the head and then an additional to the front of his face.

Drew Gulak (c) vs Tony Nese

Drew Gulak (c) defeated Tony Nese through pinfall in order to retain the Cruiserweight Championship title. Gulak won the title after hitting Nese with a powerbomb and a Cyclone Crash for the 1-2-3.

The Undertaker and Roman Reigns vs Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre

Taker was dragged into the central of the ring but instantly sat up and hit chokeslams on McMahon as well as Elias. McIntyre prepared for a Claymore with Taker’s back turned, but Reigns on the other hand interrupted him with a spear. Reigns then tossed the injured McMahon into Taker for a Tombstone Piledriver and the victory. And lastly, Roman Reigns & The Undertaker defeated Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre via pinfall.

The Revival (c) vs The Usos

The Revival (c) defeated The Usos via pinfall in order to retain the Raw Tag Team Championship title. The Revival achived their victory as Dawson grabbed Jey’s leg as the Usos maked an effort of a double dive exterior of the ring, off-putting Jimmy and providing Revival a chance to hit him with Shatter Machine for the win.

Aleister Black vs. Cesaro

Aleister Black defeated Cesaro. A leaping Cesaro was trapped with a knee strike to the chin, providing Black an opening to focus on Cesaro’s wounded left knee with kicks as well as a knee bar. The men then traded blows and punches in a twist that Cesaro won, but after Black evaded a Gotch Neutralizer, he held and trapped Cesaro with Black Mass for the sudden 1-2-3.

Bayley (c) vs Nikki Cross vs Alexa Bliss

Bayley (c) defeated Nikki Cross (via pinfall) and Alexa Bliss to retain her title of SmackDown Women’s Championship. Bayley blocked Twisted Bliss with her knees and cross tagged in and Bayley then drilled her with a knee before striking an elbow drop for the underdog win.

Braun Strowman vs Bobby Lashley

A great, physical match between these two which ended up Braun Strowman defeating Bobby Lashley by 10 count.

New Day vs Daniel Bryan & Rowan (c) vs Heavy Machinery

The New Day (Big E and Xavier Woods) defeated Daniel Bryan and Rowan (c) and Heavy Machinery (Otis and Tucker) in order to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship title.

AJ Styles vs Ricochet

AJ Styles (with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) defeated Ricochet (c) via pinfall in order to attain the United States Championship title. In an attempt to knock Ricochet off the top rope, Anderson get ahead in off-putting both the champion along with the referee. This let Gallows to knock Ricochet down from the top rope. Styles then immediately locked him in the Styles Clash and then hit it backward off the ropes to take the title.

Kevin Owens vs Dolph Ziggler

Kevin Owens defeated Dolph Ziggler via pinfall. As the bell rang, Owens and Ziggler started babbling with each other. Ziggler then slapped Owens in the face, out of which he reacted with the knockout for the 1-2-3 and a 16 second victory.

Kofi Kingston (c) vs Samoa Joe

Kofi Kingston (c) defeated Samoa Joe via pinfall in order to retain the WWE Championship title. The finish also came a bit out of nowhere and was also felt to some extent as lackluster.

Seth Rollins (c) & Becky Lynch (c) vs Baron Corbin & Lacey Evans

Seth Rollins (c) & Becky Lynch (c) defeated Baron Corbin & Lacey Evans via pinfall in order to retain the Universal & Raw Women’s Championships title.

Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins

Brock Lesnar defeated Seth Rollins (c) via pinfall to win the Universal Championship title. As soon as the bell rang, Lesnar hit Rollins with an F5 in order to take the title with slight concern. The Philadelphia crowd applauded the astonishment but booed the title change.
