A Zomato delivery boy has been arrested by Bengaluru’s police on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. When a woman name Hitesha Chandranee registered a First Information Report (FIR) in Bengaluru’s electronic police station against a Zomato delivery boy. According to the reports, the delivery boy assaulted and abusing while delivering food at her place in Bengaluru. The delivery boy has been identified by police as Kamraj, who assaulted the woman and broke her nasal bone after complaining of delaying delivery of the food.
Hitesha Chandranee shared a video on Twitter sharing the incident with the delivery boy. She said,” My Zomato order was late and I was talking to customer care executive and meanwhile the delivery person did this, he hit me and left me blinding here and ran off”. In another video, she shared about the full incident saying,” I ordered food from Zomato because I was working since morning and then, I ordered around 3:30 PM supposed to be delivered around 4:30 PM and I didn’t get my order on time and I decided to cancel my order”.
When she was talking with the customer service but when the delivery boy came, she asked him to wait and she claimed that he started abusing her. He was screaming at me and saying that Is he her slave or what? Why are you asking me to wait here? She was scaring and try to close the door but the boy entered the house forcibly and took the order from the table. punched at her face and ran away from her house” said Hitesha.
During the incident, Chandranee suffered a fracture on her nasal bone. She said that I am using a high-power painkiller because of which I can talk Lil bit. When I am trying to speak my eyes water and my nose bleeding.
