(Uttar Pradesh):- A man from Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh has been arrested by police on Sunday, June 26, 2021. According to the reports, an occultist, who was preparing to do his sixth marriage in the city has been arrested by the police. This incident would never have been in the news if his fifth wife had not lodged a complaint against him. As per the sources, the complaint was lodged at Kidwai Nagar police station. The complaint was lodged some days ago by his fifth wife and now, the victim has been arrested by the police. Also, the man has been identified by the police and has revealed his name to the media.
As per the report of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Raveena Tyagi, the man was arrested before doing his 6th marriage and he was preparing for that but before it happened, the police arrested him at the last moment. The man was also identified as Anuj Chetan Katheria, who belongs to Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. When the case was registered against the man in Kidwai Nagar police station, the police registered this case under sections 420 (cheating) and 34 ( When a criminal act is done by several persons in furtherance of the common intention of all) of IPC.
According to the complaint, Anuj is a self-proclaimed occultist (Tantrik) who had his first marriage to a woman from Mainpuri district in the year of 2005. Later, he moved from his first wife and made a relationship with a Bareilly’s based woman in 2010, and later, he again moved from there and made his third relationship with an Aurraiya lady in 2014.
After this incident in 2014, the man married his third wife’s cousin but later, her fourth wife attempted suicide after knowing his misdemeanor.
In the year 2016, a complaint was lodged against Anuj and there, the complaint was lodged against him for raping his brother’s wife at their native area in Shahjahanpur, UP.
After three years of this incident, the man married again with a Kanpur-lived woman and she was his fifth wife. Now, it has been two years for his fifth marriage and the victim was planning to do his sixth marriage but even before this ridiculous incident took place, the police caught Anuj, and now, the investigation has been started proceedings against him. Police are investing in this case and knowing the reason behind all this tragedy.
She lodged a complaint against Anuj that he had married her in 2019 and later, he started harassing her. Later, he forcibly made a physical relationship with her and behind her, he made more affairs. When she resisted, he assaulted her and even tried to kill her. The police said during the investigation, many facts came out related to this case. The accused continuously changing his location but later, spotted at Kidwai Nagar on Friday night. The trap was made for him and later, he arrested by police.
He was just passed out Class 8 but claims that he has passed out B.Sc. Later, the police said that the man uses some matrimonial sites to trap the women. Now, the investigation is underway.
