A couple from Ukraine named, Viktoria Pustovitova and Alexandr Kudlay, made the world record of spending the longest time together handcuffed, however, on 19th May 2021, the couple broke up with each other, thus, ultimately losing the title of the girlfriend and boyfriend. Currently, both of them are living their separate lives in different parts of Ukraine, but both of them did not forget to share their experience with the world. The Ukrainian couple handcuffed together for about 123 days and did everything together meaning from going showers together, to cigarette breaks together.
Back in February 2021, the couple decides to give their relationship one last chance, and therefore, they chose the occasion of Valentines’s day and did this interesting experiment of living together handcuffed for almost 3 months. The couple reported their whole journey on their Instagram handle, however, after being handcuffed together for about 3 months, the broke up, as things did not turn out the way, it was supposed to be.
As a matter of fact, they did make a world record in the record books of Ukraine and thus, to honour their achievement, the handcuff breaking ceremony was telecasted on the national TV and that too in front of the Unity monument of the country. Also, it has been reported that the couples are planning to sell these precious handcuffs that witnessed their journey of being together to being apart in an online auction and will share a part of money obtained from the said auction to the charity.
The 29-year-old, Pustovitova who is a stylist by profession talked about her break up with her 33-year old ex-boyfriend, Kudlay, who is a salesman in a car company. Pustovitova said in a choked voice, that she thinks that their journey will definitely worth watching especially for the other couples in Ukraine and the couples living abroad not to repeat what they did. She was also seen saying that during this whole handcuffs process, all she craved from her boyfriend was his attention, however, she did get any. She told that she wanted to hear from him, that he missed me, but she never got to.
Meanwhile, Alexandr Kudlay also interviewed and talked about his relationship with his former girlfriend, Pustovitova. He said this handcuff experiment made him realise that he and her ex are not like-minded people. In fact, he discovered that they do not have anything in common between them, as, during those 128 days, all they did was argue and fight over trifle matters. The couple also stated that in fact, this cuff experiment did major damage to their already messed up relationship as instead of flourishing and nourishing their relationship, this experiment tore them apart.
