Animal Crossing New Horizons is a newly developed life simulation game which is developed by Nintendo EPD in the year 2020. For those who do not know much about this game do not worry, as we will give our reader a brief introduction to what exactly this game is all about. In this game, players have the choice to chose their favorite characters who land on a desolate island. In order to enter the island, the players are required to purchase the gateway to the island from Tom Nook, which is a fictional character in the game. Now, we would like to draw the attention of our reader towards a new tournament named, ‘Fishing Tourney’ organized by the game. For the players of the Northern Hemisphere, the game has organized ‘Spring Fishing Tourney’ and for the Southern Hemisphere players, the game has organized ‘Autumn Fishing Tourney’. The tournament has already started on 10th April 2021, that is, on Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (IST). The winner will get various prizes and rewards, so stay tuned with us, as we are going to give a full detail regarding the ‘Fishing Tourney’.
This will be a quarterly event and will start from 10th April and will end in July 2021. Those who have been playing this game since its release, that is, in March 2020, must know that this the fifth Fishing Tourney that has been hosted by ACNH. In this section, we will discuss how gamers can participate in this Fishing Tourney. In order to participate, the players are required to talk to C.J and the character will let you enter the tournament.
First-time entry is free and after that, for each entry, the gamers required to pay 500 bells. The fishing tournament is time-bound and the players are required to catch as many fish as they can within the time duration of 3 minutes and at end of the said time duration, you will be tipped points on the basis of how many fishes you captured. The players can use fish bait if they want to lure the fishes but they can not cheat in the game and can also employ a golden fishing rod.
Now, most of you might be thinking, how can you win this time in the fishing tourney as this tournament is quite different from the earlier tournament organized by ACNH. Earlier, the variety and size of the fish were considered as the basis for scoring the players but this time pattern has changed. In the new horizon, it does not matter what is the breed or size of the fish is, as this time the players will be scored on the basis of how many fishes they have caught. In other words, this time it’s the quantity that will matter and not the quality.
Therefore, you better not waste your time catching bigger size fishes or variety and focus on catching as many fish as you can, as the latter one will not give any advantage in this new horizon fishing tourney. You will be rewarded one point for catching a fish and the catch here is that if you can collect three fishes in the given time duration (3 minutes), then you will be rewarded two extra points.
Another thing, we would like to mention here is that your previous score will not matter in this tournament and the players will be scored freshly. Thus, those who have not played this game, need not have to worry about the game and one more thing you do not have to care about the storage of the fish, as all the fishes will automatically be transferred in the cooler of CJ. At the end of each session (the duration of each session is three minutes), your total points will be calculated and combined with your day’s scoreboard along with the scores that the players have rewarded.
As mentioned before, the player will be rewarded with trophies and prizes. The trophies will be awarded to the players depending on the cumulative scores. The player will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze, but the catch here is that the players need a grand total of 300 points in order to earn Gold Trophy. With 200 points the player, be will be awarded a Silver Trophy while at 100 points the player will be awarded a Bronze trophy.
Apart from the trophy, the points can also be used to buy special different prizes in the tournament. In this new horizon fishing tourney, there are in total 13 prizes and each of them will cost you ten points. So in order to earn these prizes you at least need to catch 100 fishes on a single day of the match.
