Assam Election 2021: Voting Date, Full, Schedule, Result, Polls, Seats, Time, Results

The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for the Assam Legislative Assembly Election 2021 on February 26th, 2021. In 2016, Assembly polls in the Assam state were managed in two phases, where Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and its allies won an assembly Legislative with a total of 86 out of the 126 votes.

The Chief Election Commissioner of India (CEC) announced that the polls of the 126 members of the Assam Assembly will be held in three phases which are selected as March 27, April 1, and April 6. Also, the voting will be gone for an extra one hour related to the Novel Coronavirus pandemic.

Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) didn’t announce the candidate for Chief Minister yet but as per the reports, the next CM will be announced soon. Also, the Congress party didn’t reveal the candidate of CM.

Four States of the Election 2021:

There will be four states whose legislative assembly’s term is ready to come to an end in the month of May and June and the Assam Assembly will end on May 31st, 2021. Also, Election Commission has announced poll dates for three more states- Kerala, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and a Union Territory-Puducherry.

The election will be held in five states of the country and it will be started from the month of March in Kerala, Puducherry, Assam, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal.

Here are a total of 126 seats for the assembly elections in Assam state and the election will start on March 27th, 2021.

Constituencies in Assam Legislative Assembly?

The Assam Assembly election will be conducted in three phases on 27th March, 1st April, and 6th April and the result will be announced on 2nd May 2021. Also, there are eight reserved seats for the candidates of Scheduled Castes (SC) and sixteen for Scheduled Tribes (ST).

Around 33,530 polling stations in Assam and it has an increase of 34.71 percent from the last election that was held in 2016.

The second phase of election voting will start on April 1 with a total number of 39 Assembly in 13 districts in South and Lower Assam.
