The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) of Bihar Government has recently released a notification on their official website inviting the candidates to apply for the post of Assistant Engineer. The registrations for the given post will get closed on 15th December 2018.

Bihar PHED recruitment 2018: Steps for registeration
Step 1: Firstly, Visit the official website, phed.bih.nic.in
Step 2: On the homepage, you will see a link ‘Online application for contractual recruitment AE (civil/Mechanical) through GATE Score’ click on that.
Step 3: A new page will open with instructions.
Step 4: Read the instructions carefully before applying.
Step 5: For registration, click on the ‘Click here to register’ link.
Step 6: You will be asked your details for login purposes such as your name, parent’s names, gender, date of birth, etc.
Step 7: After successfully registering, create the user id and password. Log-in and start filling the application form.
Bihar PHED recruitment 2018: Eligibility criteria
Qualification Criteria:
For Civilian Assistant Engineer:
Candidates who are interested for applying to the post of civilian assistant engineer must carry a degree or diploma in civil engineering from recognised university or college or school.
For Assistant Mechanical Engineer:
Candidates who are interested in applying to the post of an assistant mechanical engineer, then candidate must carry a diploma or either a degree in the mechanical engineering from a recognised university.
The candidates who have recently qualified GATE can also apply for the posts mentioned above.
Age limit:
The minimum age of the candidates should be of 21 years and maximum 37 years and 40 for female candidates.
The candidates who are applying for civil sector males, the maximum age limit are 37 and for females the maximum age limit is 40 years.
Relaxation in terms of age is given to the reserved categories as well as female candidates and these are:
For general category female, the upper age limit is 40 years.
For OBC male and female category, the upper age limit is 40 years.
For SC or ST male and female category, the upper age limit is 42 years.
Pay scale:
The candidates who will be selected for the given posts will be provided monthly payment of Rs 55,000.
Selection procedure:
The selection procedure will be done on the criteria of GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineer) score.
