Asuravadham is an Indian south Indian action drama thriller film which is based on rural areas. The movie is written and directed by Maruthupandian and produced by Leela Lalitkumar. Music is given by Govind Menon and cinematography is done by S.R Kathir.

The film made its theatrical release on 29th June 2018 and received mixed reviews from the audience as well as movies critics. The movie was a hit after its release.
The film was previously planned to have its theatrical release on 13 April 2018 coinciding the puthandu which is a Tamil New Year according to Tamil Calendar but due to Kollywood strike at that time, the movie was decided to be postponed to 29 June 2018.

Sasikumar, who is the lead actor of the movie entered in film industry as a director but later transformed himself into an actor. But even after his convergence from director to actor, he seems to be one smart man as he knows his pros and cons very well. His performance in this movie is perfect and he along with the star cast in the movie did a pure justice to their characters. The first half of the movie is amazing and has turned out to be awesome in contrast with the second half of the movie.
The first half of the film Asuravadham was very much appreciated for representing a suspense thriller fascinating story during the first half of the film. The climax in the end of the film was also good but also got a mixed reaction from audience as well as critics but overall it is a great movie to watch with your family and friends. If you are into action thriller drama movies then this movie is definitely for you.
