Big Little Lies’ Season 2 had its finale a few Sundays ago. The fans are really a bit sad as they realized that their show is about to end. You all should know that the fans are urging HBO for another reason. Sources are saying that this season is going to be the final season of the series as well. According to, HBO president, Casey Bloys, and David E. Kelley, an executive producer, and writer for the series, Season 2 ended with real closure.
And this year season 2, was focused on the fallout from Perry’s (Alexander Skarsgard) murder, which was also settled with an epic conflict in the middle of his widow and his mother, Mary-Louise (Meryl Streep), followed by the Monterey Five apparently turning themselves in to police.
On Twitter, many viewers couldn’t believe the final shot and flooded this social site with the messages begging for more episodes.

It has received total of 16 Emmy Award nominations and winning eight from it, which also comprises of Outstanding Limited Series and acting awards for Kidman, Skarsgård, and Dern. Other than that it has received many other awards and honour.
The extravagant thriller which is based on Liane Moriarty’s 2014 novel, was always planned to be a serialization and has not yet been reintroduced for a third season. Fans have been getting a kind of mixed messages from the cast and crew regarding the third season.
In a recent interview with News Corp Australia, actress and executive producer Kidman, 52, said, “I think we would love to do a season three because there is certainly ideas. But we would not do it without all of the same people involved … even the kids.”
The makers aren’t planning to release Big Little Lies Season 3. Kelley reportedly told the same media outlet in another interview, “We like where our closure is at the end of Season 2. That will probably be it.” Also, the reports are coming that the Bloys also thinks that the busy schedules of the actors are also the reason why the makers wouldn’t want to make this show anymore.
You all should know that the Bloys, it was a “small miracle” that Season 2 could happen in the first place. He said that Everybody involved is too busy that it’s very hard to imagine assigning everybody’s schedule again. Could we do it again? Who knows? It’s a great group. They love working as a team and they are really fun to work with. But everybody is too busy with the allocated work. So let’s see.”

He said, “I love this group of people — I would do anything with them. But the reality is, they are some of the busiest actresses working in Hollywood. We have deals with some of them — Nicole is doing her next show [The Undoing] with us. I just think it’s not realistic. Look, if they all came to me and said, ‘We worked out all of our schedules!’ — then sure. But I just don’t think it’s realistic. … Season 2 was a chance for everyone involved to end [the franchise] in a way that feels satisfying.”
