(CCFA) Critics Choice Film Awards 2020 Complete Winners List & Names Announced

Presenting the list of the nominees which was being eagerly much awaited by the audience. The awards celebrate the best of Indian cinema and celebrate film talent across languages. The nomination list for the much-awaited Critics Choice film award is finally here. National Film Awards are the only other awards where films from eight languages ranging from Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Bengali are honored. Apart from Best Film category, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Film as well as Best Writing categories include nominees from across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam, Gujarati, and Kannada language films. Choice Film Awards 2020 was supposed to happen on March 14 but got postponed because of the coronavirus outbreak. Now that the country in under lockdown, the team decided to announce the winners on Twitter.

2020 Critics Choice Film Awards Winners

As per the reports, The Film Critics Guild and Motion Content Group in collaboration with Vistas Media Capital present the second edition of the ‘Critics’ Choice Film Awards’- a platform to celebrate diversity and flair in Indian films. It is a space to reward and recognize creativity, ingenuity, and quality. As a pan-India award, the Critics’ Choice Film Awards will represent the diverse range of film making in the country.

It will honor the talent and display the rich culture of films across languages, styles, and themes. The winners will be selected based on a transparent and bias-free process audited by KPMG, one of India’s most renowned audit companies. The finale event of the Critics’ Choice Film Awards will be held in Mumbai on 14th March 2020.

If it comes to that The winners will be awarded based on a two-tier transparent voting process led by the country’s most credible Critics’ association. The Critics’ Choice Film Awards aim to be representative of the diversity of Indian cinema and honor the best of Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu films of 2019.

India’s official Academy Award entry Gully Boy witnessed a stronghold in the Hindi category bagging the Best Actor, Best Director, and the Best Film. The acclaimed Gujarati film Hellaro won big with awards in almost every category including Best Actor, Best Director, Best Film and Best Writing.
