The Legend and prominent Ramanand Sagar’s Show Ramayan was gaining a lot of popularity worldwide. It was starring Arun Govil as Ram, Dipika Chikhlia as Sita, and Sunil Lahiri as Lakshman. The show returned after three decades on DD National. On 24, March 2020 the prime minister of India imposed a nationwide lockdown due to coronavirus, the show was re telecasted. Ramayan witnessed a grand comeback after 33 years that has broken many records and ruling the TRP charts. As we are aware that the channel telecasted the last episode on 2nd May. It is not enough even it has become the most-watched show globally. It has managed to beat the Game of Thrones.
After receiving the love, that was gathered by the mythological show and the characters are urging makers to re telecast the show once again because the prime minister of India has extended the lockdown till 17, May. The decision has been taken in due to the huge popularity of the show. But this time due to lockdown it created a massive record, on April 16 it crossed over 77 million views in a day and left the famous American series Game of Thrones behind.

Ramayan has smashed several records of many years no one has thought before that the show that is over 3 decades old can break the records globally and that too in the era of advanced technology where a person cannot live without the phone. The show has been watched on Doordarshan one of the oldest channels. It is really appreciatable and we all should be thankful to Ramanand Sagar who has presented the mythological show very well.
