We all must have heard and watched the popular British TV series “Line of Duty”. There is no wonder, that series is quite famous all around the world. The amazing storyline of the series and also the extra-ordinary performance of the star cast is what holds the audience. So far, the series has released five seasons while season 6 has just begun on 21st March 2021 on the BBC channel. The show has been running for about 10 years and so far, has gained more than 4 million viewers. The genre of the series is a Crime and Police procedural drama. The first series released on BBC Two on 26th June 2012. The creators of the series announced the making of the sixth series in the year 2017, but then due to some reason and also because of the pandemic, the shooting of the sixth sequel halted. After waiting for about four years, at last, season 6 of the series was released on 21st March 2021 on BBC.
Season 6 of “Line of Duty” is created and written by Jed Mercurio and directed under the direction of Daniel Nettheim. The series is produced under the production banner of World Production by Ken Horn while the principal cinematography of the series is done by Stephen Murphy, whereas the ITV studios are the distributing partner of the series. As of now, two episodes of “Line of Duty Season 6” has been released and now the next episode, which is episode 3 is all set to release on 4th April 2021.
Before we discuss, what is going to happen in the coming episode of season 6 of the series, we would like to give our viewers a little overview of what exactly this series is all about. The story of this series is based on police and crime procedurals. There is an Anti-corruption unit 12 also known as AC-12, the purpose of which is to unveil the corruption inside the police departments. In this process, many police officers under the administration of SI Ted Hastings played by Adrain Dunbar, give the task to his team, to uncover the illegal, unlawful and wrongdoings of the police personnel that is happening within the police departments.
Line of Duty Season 6: Episode 3 Spoiler
So far two episodes have been aired on BBC One. This time, SI Ted Hasting portrayed by Adrian Dunbar along with Detective Inspector Steve Arnott played by Martin Compston are conducting an investigation against the superior investigating officer, Detective Chief Inspector Joanne played by Kelly Macdonald and also an investigation is also going on against her team including a retired officer of AC-12, DI Kate Fleming and DI Steve is appointed temporarily for this case.
In the upcoming episode 3, we will see DCI Joanne unveiling new pieces of evidence, that he has got from a witness. This evidence will eventually lead the case back to Terry Boyle. Terry will be brought back for further question by DCI Jo. All the key evidence points at Terry and it is highly anticipated that he knew something about the murder of Gail Vella. While on the other hand, DI Kate will be trapped in a situation, where she needs to choose between Joe or AC12. It will be interesting to know, who Kate will choose because this crucial decision will turn tables for her and also for the case.
