Goa: Drinking & Cooking in Open could cost you up to Rs 10,000 fine

Well, reports are coming straight from the Goa where drinking and cooking in open could really get yours in trouble. Reports are coming that the Goa government has decided to charge fines between Rs 2,000 and Rs 10,000 from people for drinking and cooking in the open. Yes! You are reading it right the state Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar confirmed this whole thing on Friday which means that they are going to apply soon.

Even, the reports are coming that the Tourist Trade Act will be amended suitably during the Goa Assembly session beginning on January 29 for this purpose and he also confirmed that in a statement. Overall, it is bad news for the people who were thinking about something like that in their trip in Goa. Overall, the government is trying to do something good in the area for the local people as well as for the travelers.

Ajgaonkar told to the press, “People found creating a nuisance like drinking in public or cooking in the open will be fined up to Rs 10,000. While an individual will be fined Rs 2,000, a group indulging in such an offense will be charged Rs 10,000.” We think that things are going to better for the people who used to face the problem because of this. If the fine isn’t paid then the offender can face imprisonment of up to three months.
