Grenade attack in Srinagar Market: 1 civilian killed, 15 injured

A latest news of grenade attack at a vegetable market in Srinagar has been reported where one person was reportedly killed and at least 15 were injured. As per to the report, the attack was held today, November 4, this afternoon.

Srinagar Grenade Attack

This drastic attack comes a week after 15 civilians were injured in a similar grenade attack which was held by terrorists in Sopore town of north Kashmir.

All those people who were injured in today’s blast was taken to the to the nearby hospital for the further treatment, out of the injured ones, two of them are said to be in a critical condition and has been admitted to the hospital.

The blast took place at a vegetable market in Hari Singh High Street, located in the centre of the city in Srinagar. The attack took place at 1:20 pm, as per to the news agency PTI report. In the meantime, the market area has now been cordoned off and the investigation is taking place.

Grenade attack in Kashmir Today

On the other hand, Security personnel have been on high alert in Jammu and Kashmir ever since on August 5 when its special status under Article 370 was removed through a presidential order. The state was officially split into two union territories that is Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on October 31.

Overall, this is third grenade attack which is in Jammu and Kashmir in the past 10 days. Previous week also, there were about 15 people who were injured when terrorists attacked many civilians who were waiting at a bus stand in Sopore.

In an additional terror attack which was held on October 26, there were about six security personnel who gotinjured when a CRPF team was reviewing as well as inspecting vehicles at a checkpost and at that time some terrorists threw a grenade at the site.
