Aspirants who have been dreaming to get a job in the Ministry of Defence has got an amazing opportunity, as the MoD has released a notification on their official website regarding for the various post in Group C on 22nd May 2021. A total of 42 vacancies has been announced in the Group C posts including, Vehicle Mechanic Fireman, Civilian Motor Diver, Carpenter and Labourer posts under the HQ Northern Command. These posts are only for male candidates only, so those who are interested can apply for the same within 21 days of the date of the publishing of the notification, that is, before 11th June 2021. the job location is Pathankot, Punjab, India. The Eligibility criteria, however, differ from posts to post and the candidates need to carefully check the eligibility criteria before applying for the post.
Ministry of Defence Group C Recruitment 2021: Mode of Application and Stages
The candidates who are interested in the post mentioned under the notification dated 21st May to 28th May 2021 can fill the application offline in the prescribed format and send it to Recruitment cell 5471 ASC Battalion Near Barfani Mandir Opp. SD College, Pathankot Cantt (Punjab), 145001 either by Registered, Normal post or through Speed Post before 11th June 2021. Candidates are required to enfold the application in a self-addressed envelope, and also have to attach a postal stamp of Rs.45 together with the application.
- Stage 1: Written Test
- Stage 2: Physical/Practical Test
The selection of the candidates for the various post mentioned above will be done in two phases. The first phase is a written test while the second phase is a physical test.
Ministry of Defence Group C Recruitment 2021: Written Exam Pattern
There are 4 papers in the Written examination.
- Paper1: G.I & Reasoning – (25 Ques/25 marks)
- Paper 2: G.A – (50 Ques/ 50 Marks)
- Paper 3: General English (50 Ques/ 50 Marks)
- Paper 4: Numerical Aptitude (25 Ques/25 marks)
The total duration of the paper is 120 minutes.
Ministry of Defence Group C Recruitment 2021: Vacancy Name & Number of Post & Pay Level
The following are the posts that have been released in the notification for Group C Posts:
- Civilian Motor Driver – 27 (UR-5, EWS- 1, SC-21)
- Labourer – 10 (UR-7, OBC-3)
- Fireman – 3 (SC-1, ST-2)
- Vehicle Mechanic – 1 (SC-1)
- Carpenter – 1 (UR-1)
There are a total of 42 posts that have been released by the Ministery of Defense under Group C and out of those, 27 are reserved for the Civilian Motor Driver, 1 for Vehicle Mechanic, 3 for the Fireman, 1 for the post of Carpenter while 10 for the post of Labourer. The pay scale for the post of Driver, Fireman and Vehicle Mechanic is Rs. 19,900 to 45,700, while the post of Labourer and Carpenter is Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 41,100.
Ministry of Defence Group C Recruitment 2021: Age Limit & Educational Qualification
- For the post of Civilian Motor Driver: Candidates must have passed 10th or equivalent from a recognized board and must have a driving license for Heavy vehicle and also must hold an experience of 2 years in driving such vehicles.
- For the remaining Post: Candidates must have passed 10th or equal from a recognized board and should have experience in his subject of matter.
For the post Driver, candidates should not be less than 18 years and must not be more than 27 years, while for the remaining posts, the candidates should not be less than 18 years and must not be more than 25 years of age as of 21st May 2021.
